Meet Adria, a Mesa Global worker in Africa serving with Congo Initiative!
Adria serves in numerous capacities, adding a children's segment to a community trauma healing service at Bethesda Counseling Center. She also supports another colleague who runs a caregiver support group for families affected by disabilities, the first of its kind in the area.
"At times the words 'training' and 'equipping' make me shake in my sandals because I feel unqualified to teach anyone anything, especially in a new culture and language," shared Adria. "But as I look deeper, I realize that is what I’m doing, and Jesus is training and equipping me in every step."
We each have unique opportunities to train and equip every day, no matter how small or insignificant these may seem. Whether you find yourself multiplying disciples by the hundreds, by one, or just multiplying the places you set at your table tonight, know your contributions to the Kingdom of God here on Earth matter; God is working in (and through!) you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him (Philippians 2:13).
