While the war in Ukraine has brought untold devastation, God is also opening eyes and hearts to spiritual realities. One third of Ukraine's population are not currently living in their own homes - they are refugees in other countries or in "safer" places in Ukraine. There is an encouraging spiritual openness to the Gospel, particularly as the Ukrainian Church has opened its doors and hearts to millions of refugees. Some evangelical churches have doubled in size since the beginning of the war. There is a new and widespread hunger for the Scriptures in this majority Orthodox country. In partnership with the Ukraine Bible Society, Mesa Global is publishing and distributing copies of the Bible in Ukrainian and Russian for refugees. At a cost of $2 per Bible, we seek to provide 27,500 refugees with their own Bible in their own language.
