Our Lindsey was almost 2 years old when we arrived in Costa Rica in 1998to help grow the fledgling La Palabra de Vida Christian Bilingual School (LPDV). Lynnea, Katrina, and Natalia were born in Costa Rica over the next few years. As our daughters grew from infancy through childhood and became increasingly independent as they approached adulthood, so did the LPDV school ministry. By 2019, the thriving LPDV ministry served 330 students, was led by mature local management, and had years of national governance.
In March 2024, we stepped into the role of Mesa Global regional leaders for Central America and the Caribbean. We still live on the LPDV campus in Costa Rica and from there support fellow workers in the region as well as numerous Mesa Global national ministry partner organizations, including LPDV.
- Wisdom and discernment as we apply our experience as school leaders to regional leadership.
- Parental wisdom as our daughters move into new stages of adulthood as third culture kids (TCK’s) living in the US, and as Natalia finishes high school in Costa Rica.
- Growth and continued maturity for the LPDV ministry where we continue to live and serve through managing the Palabra de Vida Foundation3
- Effective team-building and mobilizing of global workers for CentralAmerica-Caribbean.
