We have been with Mesa Global since 2016 and actively working in Ireland since January 2021. We have two adult sons, Elliot and Oliver.
The Church
We are serving alongside the local church in Limerick, Ireland. Our roles are multi-faceted with involvement in several adult life groups, serving teams, 1:1 discipleship as well as group leadership development, kids ministry, training, evangelism, social media, building maintenance and serving on the board of the local church we directly work with.
We also have an active role in the Garden Space which offers: 1. a donation-based café two days a week for community use and to raise funds for local charities, and 2. special events throughout the year for the purpose of bringing the community and the church together in hopes of enriching the community and furthering faith awareness and discussion.
The Community
In addition, we serve as city leaders for Serve the City, an international charity with chapters all over the world, that serves and meets the needs of the marginalized and vulnerable through volunteer workers from all backgrounds and walks of life. Our aim is to not only help the vulnerable (whom we get connected with through county agencies and social workers) but also serve and know the volunteers who work alongside of us.
Our projects range from making meals for the homeless to cleaning neglected homes and DIY projects for individuals unable to do so to keeping the city blocks and parks free of litter and weeds to any creative ways we can help people. Currently, our base of volunteers includes immigrants and refugees, asylum seekers, local and international university students, professionals, neighbors, church-goers and career-volunteers. We have served as the city leaders in Limerick since December 2021.
- For the people/churches still needed to complete our prayer and financial support team and for speedy approval of our visa application.
- For our new home and community; that God would grant us a deep and wide sphere of influence.
- For the gospel to penetrate and transform the hearts of the people living in Ireland.
