I (Wendy) partner with the local Tanzanian church and NGO in a small village called Karansi. One of the main ways they are serving the people is through a local primary school. The school was originally started to provide families in the area with a good education and a safe place for their children to be cared for spiritually and academically. I equip local teachers with effective teaching methods and work with them in developing a curriculum that integrates Biblical truths. I also have the opportunity to participate in various discipleship and training programs with teachers in hopes of developing students into servant leaders for their communities.
I (Gift) am currently in law school. At the end of my program, I hope to work with an organization that assists those who cannot afford a lawyer. I want to ensure as many people as possible get proper representation when they need it in my home country.
- Pray for the youth in Tanzania as 41 % of the population is below the age of 15 as of 2022. Pray for them to put their trust in the Lord as the become the future leaders of their country.
- Pray for Gift as he moves into becoming a lawyer and looks for opportunities to use his gifts.
- Pray for the spiritual and economic growth of those in the school and the surrounding community.
