I am going to be serving among the refugee community in Colorado Springs. There has been a large population of Afghan refugees arriving in Colorado since 2022, and they are largely unsupported by the local community because they arrived recently enough that many people aren't yet aware of their presence. I'll be joining a few other Mesa Global staff and hope to develop friendships within the local refugee community as well as help to create a more structured vision and strategy on my team here.

I graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 2021, where I got my degree in Christian Studies. While I was at DBU the Lord cultivated in me the desire to do missions through serving on mission trips during school breaks and becoming friends with missionaries and mobilizers in my school and around Dallas.

  • For the Afghan refugee community here, that they would be receptive to hearing the Gospel and would feel loved by Jesus through the work of myself and my team.
  • For a more structured team dynamic to develop for the Colorado Springsteam, leading to more growth in the future.
  • That Ben and I would be able to develop a good community within a localchurch here.
