My ministry here will be to serve at Oikos cafe two times a week. This cafe is an outreach coffee shop to reach the people of Birmingham. I will also be serving at BCM (Birmingham City Mission), a homeless focused outreach that will be a catalyst to sharing the gospel. I will be discipline a young teen once week and attending weekly Bible studies at Second City Church.
My role is to serve in any capacity that the Lord calls me to, and one that helps Rachel and Rich further their already begun ministry there. I will also be furthering my Intercultural Engagement education through Moody Bible Institute online, as I grow and prepare for long-term vocational ministry in missions.
- That the Lord would be shaping and refining me to be equipped as I prepare for launch in January and throughout my time there.
- That the Lord would strengthen and fill Rachel and Rich with the power of the Holy Spirit to do a good work in Birmingham.
- That the Lord would be working in and moving in the hearts of those that have already been reached and those that will be reached in Birmingham... that I would be in tune with the Holy Spirit to NOT miss any opportunity to reach them.
