Specifically in Phoenix, Mesa Global works to engage people from Myanmar, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, and Somalia. Most of these people have arrived as refugees after spending years in refugee camps or being evacuated from their countries due to war. While there, part of my time will be spent in training classes learning about the missionary life, how to share Jesus stories, cross-cultural ministry, and more. The other part of my time will be visiting refugees in their homes, serving in English, sewing, and kids' programs in order to make connections, shadowing the local missionary team members, and being mentored along the way. I am excited to start on this adventure the Lord is taking me on! I cannot wait to see how the Lord grows me and uses me and my gifts in this ministry!
